Visiting Breck & Iris in West Virginia

We spent a week in West Virginia with Breck & Iris helping them fix up their recently purchased fixer-upper. Their house is adorable and is located on a great lot, at the top of a hill, in the middle of Ranson WV. Ranson is fairly close to both Maryland and Virginia, and is a cute little town connected to Charles Town, and just minuets from Harpers Ferry where the Shenandoah & Potomac Rivers meat. The whole area is steeped in historic charm and beautifully nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountain range.

We celebrated Father’s Day with Iris’ dad and girlfriend (and brother) who made the most amazing food for us! We then walked around scenic Harpers Ferry, and topped-off the day with a bonfire (to burn old and leftover construction wood), roasting marshmallows, and lighting sparklers. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day…

While not working on the house or remotely for work, we explored some non-national parks and a nature reserve in the area, which were equally as beautiful!

We finished off our wonderful visit by celebrating Breck’s birthday at Olive Garden, and getting him a bike from FB Marketplace, so he can continue to explore the many awesome trails in his area!
