I’ve decided that being a grandparent is the greatest thing in the world! Finley James Costello, our first grand-baby, was born October 28, 2022, at 6:48 am, weighing 6lbs. 8oz. and 20 1/2 inches long. On October 27th Brittney was induced 3 1/2 weeks early due to Cholestasis, which can be life-threatening in pregnancy, causing stillbirths. Even though it was the middle of the night in Korea (Brad was on a business trip), Brad booked me the next flight out of Cincinnati to SLC. Aubrey raced home from school as I threw my stuff in a suitcase, we then drove an hour to the airport where she kicked me to the curb. Mom picked me up in SLC at 2:00 am and we drove straight to the hospital. It was such a blessing to be there for the birth of my grandson. Despite being early, little Finn did great and went home with mom and dad a couple days later. Blessing number two was the opportunity I had to stay with Brittney and Sean for two weeks after the birth, just holding and lovin on my little grandson before I had to share him with Brad, Merinda (who came down to Utah for Thanksgiving break), and the rest of the world.
