Cleveland, Ohio
This past weekend, after spending most of the week in Detroit for work, Brad and I drove onto Cleveland, Ohio, so that Brad could drop some things off for work since his company’s headquarters are located there. We spent Friday in the Cleveland suburbs, window shopping at an outdoor mall, grabbing a bite to eat at Bibibop Asian Grill (so good!), and then driving around Parker’s (Brad’s company) headquarters. On Saturday we drove through Amish country (or more specifically, Middlefield township in Geauga county, Ohio) checking out Amish furniture, test-tasting Amish goodies at the bakery (best glazed donut & apple fritter we’ve ever had), and buying must-haves from the Amish market (spices & jellies). While window shopping at an Amish store we even got free Amish ice cream (the creamiest we’ve ever had!). I took a lot of pictures of the Amish farms, and the Amish people at work and play, from our bug-infested car windows (no, it wasn’t snowing), trying to be as inconspicuous as possible! The Amish country is so beautiful and the Amish lifestyle so intriguing to me, maybe because a part of me so wants to live the Amish life!
