The Sunday before Brad’s birthday we invited Rex & Veronica and Aubrey & Raul over for cake (German Chocolate cake–Brad’s fav, but he helped me make it because it really is a two-man job) and Bluebell ice cream (of course).

I could have sworn I had a number 5 candle, but all I could find was a number 3, so with a sharpie I turned the 3 into a 5 and it worked out great (until the cake was turned around!).

Brad’s actual birthday fell on primary activity days but Veronica and I were planning on taking our girls caroling. So instead of being home alone on his birthday, Brad came caroling with us…

I don’t think he quite knew what he was getting himself into (corralling a group of crazy girls ages 8-11), but when it was all said and done, everyone had a great time, especially Brad!
