This past weekend, we went to Cleveland and Kirtland Ohio, with friend’s Rex and Veronica, along with their kid’s Wesley, Molly (and little ones) to tour the Kirtland Temple, and Historic Kirtland. Brad had interviews in Cleveland on a Friday, so we drove up Thursday afternoon and had dinner at Condado Tacos, an eclectic taco restaurant in Pinecrest, Cleveland. This past weekend, Brad and I made a quick trip to West Virginia to visit Breck, Iris, Camila, and Mancha. It had only been a couple of weeks since the kids had visited us in Kentucky. The evening before Raul’s family flew back to Chile, we had one last get-together at our favorite place… Hoggy’s Ice Cream! Our friend’s Rex and Veronica were finally back in town so we invited them as well. Rex and Veronica were excited to meet Raul’s family, especially since they have heard so much about them not only from Raul, but from Aubrey and Molly when they served in Chile as missionaries. It was supposed to rain all day on the 4th of July this year (no different from any other 4th in Kentucky) so they canceled our subdivision’s BBQ, games, and fireworks, due to weather. Our plan “B” was to attend our town’s parade and fireworks, weather permitting. Since it wasn’t an all-day rainout, we were able to carry out our plan B. On the Sunday Claire was blessed, we invited everyone over for lunch right after church, since Breck and Iris had at least an eight-hour drive home.
